A place for such a salad on the festive table (birthday, New Year, Easter), when variety is welcomed and small portions of all kinds of salads are superimposed. You can prepare the Old Harbor salad in portions, for example, in glasses.
Cod liver - 1 can 250 g
Potatoes - 3 pcs.
Eggs - 3 pcs.
Carrots - 1-2 pcs.
Processed cheese - 100 g
Apple - 1 pc.
Green onions - 1 bunch
Walnuts - 30 g
Lemon juice - to taste

Step by step recipe with photo
Potatoes, carrots and eggs must be boiled and cooled beforehand. The apple is preferably sour or sweet and sour so that it does not darken and for a brighter taste, sprinkle it with lemon juice. Too soft varieties of processed cheese are recommended to be frozen so that they rub better. In addition to green onions, you can experiment with other herbs, I thought, for example, about parsley. The amount of mayonnaise and how many layers to coat with it - to taste, in my version everything is at a minimum.
To prepare cod liver salad in layers, prepare the ingredients according to the list (see photo).
I suggest steaming potatoes and carrots, for example, in a slow cooker.
The first layer of salad is grated potatoes, greased with mayonnaise.
Then a layer of broken and crushed pieces of cod liver, sprinkled with green onions.
Next layers of salad: grated cheese
Then - grated apple (with or without peel - optional). Sprinkle the apple layer with lemon juice and brush with mayonnaise.
Cover with grated carrots and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
The Old Harbor cod liver salad is ready.
