A simple recipe for the traditional New Year's salad Olivier with chicken and apple.

Ingredients

Chicken breasts - 1 pc.

Chicken eggs - 3 pcs.

Potatoes - 3 pcs.

Carrots - 1 large or 2 small;

Mayonnaise - 150 g

Fresh cucumbers - 1 pc;

Pickled cucumbers - 1-2 pcs.

Canned Green Peas - 1 can

Apple - 1 pc.

Dill and parsley greens - to taste

Green onions to taste;

Salt to taste

Olivier is a classic salad, an indispensable attribute of any holiday, and especially the New Year's table. Largely due to the simplicity of its preparation and the optimal combination of the taste of the ingredients, it has earned such popularity. Today I want to share one of the ways to make a classic Olivier in my photo recipe.

To begin with, we will prepare all the main boiled ingredients - these are chicken breasts, steep eggs, carrots and potatoes. Boil potatoes and carrots in their uniforms (washing, but not peeling), boil eggs hard-boiled - 5-10 minutes after boiling. By the way, vegetables boiled in uniforms have a completely different, pleasant taste and aroma, it will be even better if you cook them in a double boiler.

Finely chop the boiled chicken.

Cut the potatoes into small cubes.

We also cut the carrots into cubes.

Finely chop the hard-boiled chicken eggs.

Then we shave off fresh cucumbers.

We cut pickled cucumbers.

Finely chop the dill and parsley and green onions.

Then pour all the ingredients into one pan, add 1 can of canned peas and finely chopped apple (if desired, I add for juiciness). Salt, season with mayonnaise and stir. The traditional Olivier salad is ready.
