Step by step recipe with photo

Vinaigrette is a versatile salad that can be prepared any day and even for a holiday. According to the classic recipe, the salad is prepared with sauerkraut and a standard set of vegetables: beets, carrots, potatoes, onions and pickles.

Boil the beets, potatoes and carrots in their uniforms. I often use a double boiler for this.

Peel the vegetables.

Cut the beets into small cubes.

Finely chop the carrots.

Finely chop the potatoes.

Chop the onions and pickles. The latter will be needed, depending on their size, from 3 to 5 pieces.

We need about 150 grams of sauerkraut.

Mix all ingredients in a salad bowl or saucepan. It is best to season salad just before serving. For this, it is best to use vegetable or aromatic oil, or also mayonnaise - it all depends on your taste preferences.

The classic vinaigrette goes well with black bread. Enjoy your meal!

PS: There are also many alternative recipes for this dish, one of my favorites is the vinaigrette with green peas.
