This version of the "Mimosa" salad is always prepared by my friend for the New Year's table. I really like it, and for several years now I have also been preparing this option for the New Year's table. If you like butter in Mimosa, you can also add it, it will harmonize well with red caviar, but it seems to me that high-quality processed cheese replaces it perfectly, and it turns out quite tasty without adding butter. I never add onions to this salad, I love its very delicate taste, but the taste of onions disturbs me. In general, try my version, you may also like it.
For the preparation of the New Year version of the Mimosa salad, take the products from the list.
Boil potatoes, carrots and eggs until tender. The eggs are best cooked for 8 minutes.
Cool vegetables, peel.
Grate potatoes, carrots, eggs and cream cheese. Put potatoes in the first layer, you can salt it a little.
Brush lightly with mayonnaise.
Remove bones from canned salmon, mash with a fork, put on a layer of potatoes, pepper. Also lightly grease with mayonnaise.
The next layer is grated processed cheese.
Then we spread the carrots.
The next layer is grated chicken egg white, greased with mayonnaise.
The last layer is egg yolk grated on a fine grater. Cover the salad with cling film and leave to soak for a couple of hours.
