I hasten to share with you an unusual way of preparing a well-known salad, herring under a fur coat, in the form of a roll. The salad prepared according to this recipe will look original on any festive table.
Salad Herring under a fur coat I always cook from muddy fish. To start preparing the dish, you need to cut the herring and cut it into small cubes. For the lazy, you can just buy herring fillets, it will turn out less troublesome, but not so useful.
Wash potatoes, carrots and beets and boil in a peel. Cool vegetables, in the refrigerator or on the balcony, so that our roll can be wrapped without unnecessary difficulties.
Peel chilled boiled vegetables with a knife or just with your hands.
Grate the beets on a medium-sized grater.
Grate the carrots.
Grate potatoes.
Hard-boiled eggs and chop finely (by the way, this salad will be great without eggs). Chop the onion.
Spread a piece of cling film and place the beets on it, similar to the photo.
Cover the top with a second piece of foil and smooth the beetroot layer with your hands. Then remove the top film. The beets will be the most important layer of the roll, bottom and top at the same time.
Put a layer of carrots on top of the beets and brush it with mayonnaise.
Lay out the next layer from grated potatoes, also grease it with mayonnaise.
