If you're preparing a New Year's themed table, try my salad in the form of a cute dog's face. Such a salad will not leave indifferent any of your guests. Cooking it is not as difficult as it seems at first glance, the main thing is to start))) Be sure to ask the seller of chicken eggs in the market to sell you eggs with a bright orange yolk, otherwise the salad will not look so attractive.
The composition of the ingredients can be anything you like. Of those options that I have already tried to combine and cook, I liked two options so far - with smoked chicken and mushrooms, as well as this option, with smoked chicken and Korean carrots. But there is time before the New Year, I will try to come up with a fish version and a different design of the face.
To prepare New Year's salad "Dog" with smoked chicken and Korean carrots, prepare the products according to the list. Wash the potatoes with a stiff brush, boil in uniforms until tender, cool. Boil the eggs for no longer than 8 minutes, the yolk should not turn blue. Cool in cold water.
Peel the potatoes and eggs, finely chop the chicken and carrots. Carrots must be chopped finely, otherwise the salad will be difficult to divide into portions. Grate potatoes, cheese and eggs, yolks and whites separately.
On a large salad serving dish, place the first layer of potatoes, forming the dog's head, ears and cheeks. Lightly grease the layer with mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
Put smoked chicken cut into small cubes on the potatoes, brush it with mayonnaise too.
Place a layer of grated proteins on top of the chicken. Leave some of the squirrel for the decoration of the dog's face. The protein layer can be seasoned with salt and pepper.
Next, lay out a layer of grated cheese.
Put chopped Korean carrots on the cheese, grease it with mayonnaise too.
Lay out a layer of potatoes on top, pressing it from all sides, hide all layers of salad under it. Grease the potatoes generously with mayonnaise so that the last, top layer of eggs sticks well on all sides.
Divide the remaining protein. For the most part we lay out the ears, lay out the muzzle with the yolk. We remove the remnants of the sprinkled ingredients from the dish, wipe the dish with a clean towel.
With the second part of the remaining grated protein, lay out the nose and cheeks of the dog. Cut two mushrooms in half, lay out the eyebrows and eyes. We stick the whole mushroom into the place for the spout. We make a mustache from a carnation. We stick a slice of meat like a tongue. That's all. Cover with cling film and let the salad soak.
From my own observation, I will say that if you cut the mushroom for the eyes into narrow halves, the doggie turns out to be an adult, if the halves of the mushroom are semicircular, then you get a puppy. But the fact that my dog is different for different people is a fact)))
