Carrots - 1 pc;

Large green apple - 1 pc;

Eggs - 2-3 pcs;

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Marinade for onions:

Vinegar - 2 tbsp;

Sugar - 1 tablespoon

Herb sauce:

Mozzarella - 150 grams;

Yogurt - 1 glass;

Lemon juice - 1 tbsp;

Chive of garlic - 1 pc;

hot pepper to taste;

Any greens (dill, parsley, cilantro to taste);

Black pepper to taste;

Salt to taste.

Many of us are well aware of the traditional recipe for cooking a festive salad, Herring under a fur coat. But I suggest you try the lite version. Not everyone can eat large quantities of mayonnaise because of health or someone simply on a diet. Beets and eggs are used here only for decoration, but this is not important, you can exclude them altogether. In general, the salad is light and tasty. Be sure to try!

Finely chop the onion, add vinegar and sugar. Leave to marinate.

We clean the herring, cut into slices.

Pre-boil potatoes, carrots, eggs. We clean up.

Grate the boiled vegetables on a coarse grater.

Peel the apple, remove the seeds and also rub it on a coarse grater.

Cooking salad dressing.

Grind the herbs into yoghurt, squeeze out the garlic, rub the cheese on the finest grater.

Salt, you can slightly pepper.

Add the juice of half a lemon. We mix everything.

Lay out the salad in layers immediately in the container in which it will be served on the table. Lightly grease the bottom of the plate with vegetable oil. We start with the herring itself, fill it with pickled onions (squeeze it out before that).

Then there is a layer of potatoes and pour the sauce.

Put a layer of carrots on the sauce, then apples and pour the sauce over again. Decorate as you wish, sprinkle with grated eggs around.

Leave the prepared salad at room temperature for 30 minutes so that the sauce can be absorbed into the layers of the salad, then refrigerate overnight.
