Olivier salad is the Russian salad leader on the festive table. How can you resist a simple and straightforward cooking recipe? It is enough to collect the "bouquet" from the necessary available products, and then quickly cut them into cubes, mix, season with mayonnaise and that's it!
Few people remember that the historical brother of the modern Olivier had significant differences. How could the 19th century French chef Lucien Olivier have imagined that his restaurant brainchild, which includes not only boiled potatoes, chicken eggs, cucumbers, but also partridge meat with crayfish necks, would become so simple and homemade.
Today I will cook one of the variations of the classic Soviet New Year's salad - Olivier with chicken and corn. We take products from the list.
Olivier with smoked chicken breast turns out to be especially tasty and tender. The chicken must be crushed into cubes, after removing the skin.
Let's send the main ingredient to the kneading salad bowl.
Free the boiled potatoes and carrots from the peel. Cut into cubes of the same size. I prefer small cubes. I hate it when the salad has a bulky slicing.
