The "Mimosa" puff pastry salad has been a popular guest of the festive New Year's table since Soviet times. Why are housewives still so fond of preparing this fish salad? Understanding! The salad is economical, quite simple to prepare and very tasty. The dish is based on canned fish, combined with boiled chicken eggs and mayonnaise. Then there can be potatoes with carrots, cheese with butter, and even apples.
In variations of preparation "Mimosa" is not inferior to the "Winter" salad. Today I am serving Mimosa salad without potatoes and carrots.
You will need: canned saury in oil, chicken eggs, mayonnaise, onions, salt and herbs for decoration.
The eggs are pre-boiled. Onions need to be peeled.
Chicken yolks must be separated from the proteins.
Grate the whites on a fine grater and divide into two piles. Place some of the grated proteins at the bottom of the salad bowl.
Next comes the canned saury. Mash the fish in a separate bowl with a fork, and then place it on top of the proteins. Again, only a part of the canned food, or more precisely, half a can.
A layer of mayonnaise. Any mayonnaise can be used to taste.
Whole onions, diced.
The second layer of chicken proteins.
Then again canned fish.
Mayonnaise. The second layer of mayonnaise needs to be made more abundant.
The final layer is grated yolks.
Decorate the salad as you wish. I used curly parsley and cranberries.
The fish salad must be soaked before serving. Mimosa salad without potatoes and carrots is ready!
