If we talk about a hot salad, then I immediately have associations with mussels and feta cheese. This delicious salad is loved in the Mediterranean countries. It is easy to prepare and very effective when you prepare it for unexpected guests. Some exoticism, conviviality, speed and taste - what else is needed ?!
We will fry mussels only in butter. The salad is served hot, so butter is the best. If you are going to prepare a salad for guests and are not sure that it will be eaten immediately hot and, like all salads, will stand on the table, then it is better to fry in vegetable oil. Do not defrost the mussels. They are usually half cooked already. Just put them under water for a couple of minutes and place them in a skillet with butter. The mussels will start the water. We must cook them until all the water evaporates.
When all the water has evaporated, we can assume that the mussels are ready. Now you need to quickly add the remaining ingredients. The first to go is the diced tomato.
Stir the mussels with the tomato until the tomato “tugs down” (20 seconds) and season to taste. I have freshly ground black pepper for flavor, coriander and ground ginger root.
Add freshly chopped herbs to the salad. A hot salad will immediately sparkle with bright colors.
And the last step is to add the fresh cheese, cut into cubes. Pour in the seeds, keep them on fire for literally a minute and turn them off. The mussels that are available for sale are already slightly salty in taste, so the cheese should be given unsalted. Add one tablespoon of soy sauce to the salad and serve the hot salad to the table.
