Warm salad with baked pear is an easy-to-prepare and spectacular-looking dish that will decorate both the festive table and the everyday menu. The combination of succulent lettuce leaves, sweet, slightly caramelized pear slices, salted cheese, aromatic toasted nuts and sweet and sour dried cranberries will appeal to even those who tend to be completely indifferent to salads. Try it!
To make a warm pear salad, you will need the ingredients listed.
Cut each pear into 4 pieces and remove the pods and stems. Hard, almost ripe pears in the amount of 3-4 pieces, small or medium in size, are best suited for preparing salad.
Arrange the slices skin-side down, cut-up, and sprinkle with juice on 1 lemon wedge to prevent darkening.
Mix 1 tbsp. melted butter with 1 tbsp. Sahara. If the pears are unsweetened, the amount of sugar can be increased to 2 tablespoons.
Place the pear slices on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with the prepared butter and sugar mixture.
Place the slices in an oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake for 7-15 minutes, until soft and golden brown.
In the meantime, prepare a dressing by combining olive oil, vinegar (wine or balsamic), honey, mustard, and a finely chopped garlic clove.
Mix everything thoroughly. Try the dressing and add salt and ground black pepper to taste. If you plan to add salted cheese (for example, feta) to the salad, limit yourself at this stage to 1 small pinch of salt and, if necessary, add more salt to taste already in the finished salad.
Toast the nuts in a dry skillet until aromatic and cut into large pieces with a knife. Save some whole nuts to garnish the salad, if desired.
When the pears are ready, tear the lettuce leaves with your hands, place in a salad bowl, add 2/3 of the prepared dressing and stir gently. Arugula can be used instead of lettuce leaves.
Place the salad on a serving plate. Add the baked pear slices.
Grate, cut into slices / slices or crush cheese. Both hard cheese (parmesan, Swiss) and soft (feta, gorgonzola) are suitable for preparing salad.
Sprinkle the salad with dried cranberries, cheese and nuts, drizzle with the remaining dressing and serve.
Warm salad with baked pear is ready.
