The "Mistress" salad is a fairly popular layered salad, which has a lot of recipes. When I first cooked one of the variations of this salad many years ago, I wondered why it was called that. Probably because so many different tastes and at first glance incompatible products are intertwined in it. Meanwhile, this salad turns out to be very harmonious and tasty. A real fireworks display of tastes. If you've never tasted this salad or anything like it, be sure to cook it up and give your verdict.
To prepare the Mistress salad with raisins and chicken, prepare the necessary products from the list. It is advisable to cook beets and eggs in advance.
Dip the chicken fillet in boiling water, salt and cook until tender. Fillet cooking will take about 20-25 minutes.
While the fillet is boiling, let's move on to the rest of the ingredients. Fresh carrots should be peeled and grated on a medium grater. Salt the carrots a little, add washed and dried raisins, as well as sour cream. Then stir.
Grate eggs and hard cheese, add garlic and sour cream, also stir.
Peel the boiled beets, grate, add diced dried apricots and chopped walnuts. Add sour cream, salt, pepper and stir.
When the fillet is cooked, it needs to be cooled and cut into cubes.
Now we collect the salad in a transparent salad bowl so that the layers are visible. Put half of the carrots on the bottom, spread the layer with a spoon and place the sliced fillet. Put sour cream on top of the fillet and then spread it with a spoon.
Next, lay out half of the egg-cheese mass and also level it.
Then we spread half of the beetroot mass.
We repeat the layers in the same order: carrot-fillet-cheese-beetroot. We decorate the top of the salad at our discretion.
