Fruit Cocktail Salad is, let's say, a mega-instant fruit salad. I met him many years ago in Venice, where hawkers sell him in the summer in half-liter plastic cups with a disposable lance to boot. In English, in my opinion, the dish was simply called "fruit cocktail".

Since the recipe was invented for fast food, it is prepared at a frantic pace, at "one-two-three", it can stand for a long time without losing its "presentation", and at the same time the serving is very decorative. Based on all of the above, I consider it the greatest invention for summer parties.

In addition, a fruit salad, consisting of only fruits, without sugar and without fat, is not only tasty, but also very healthy.

The most important thing for this serving are very large, wide and tall glasses. As I already wrote, in the original there were plastic disposable, but if for a ceremonial serving, then you can use, for example, the largest glasses for red wine or pot-bellied beer glasses.

To prepare a salad according to this recipe, you can take almost any fruits and berries, as long as they are not prone to rapid oxidation, i.e. apples and bananas, for example, it is better not to take, pears - depending on the variety. If you use fruits that quickly oxidize, then they should be treated with lemon juice.

Grapes (preferably seedless), melon, watermelon, pineapple, strawberries are ideal (it goes to the very top, because it wrinkles). Kiwi gives a loss in cooking speed, but looks good too. Cherries, cherries - you can, but think about whether it is appropriate in the company in which the salad will be used to spit seeds from berries? The currant is too small - it is inconvenient to prick it on the peak. Raspberries are a controversial issue, but I think you can throw a few berries to the very top.
