For some reason, my imagination for sweet salads works much better than for any others. Fruit or vegetable components, dried fruits, nuts, plus a spicy sour cream-honey dressing - a wonderful juicy and bright salad is ready! It will serve as a good snack or even dinner, it can also be put on a festive table along with Olivier and Mimosa, it will certainly appeal to children and adults. It's all about a delicious and healthy sweet beet salad!
For the preparation of the salad, we will take three main components: boiled beets (you can boil them in advance or purchase ready-made ones in vacuum packaging), carrots, and an apple. They should all be about the same size. That is, if the beets are big, take only half for a small apple and carrot. However, if, for example, you are not a beet lover, but more a supporter of sweet apples, then vary the proportions to your taste. The number of hazelnuts and dates is also indicated as an average, that is, you can take either more or less. The dressing has the same criteria, but here a shadow will also fall on the calorie content of the dish.
The ingredients are ready, let's start cooking!
Fill the dates with hot water for a couple of minutes to easily remove the peel. We clean the dates, remove the seeds and cut into small pieces.
Peel the boiled beets (if any) and grate them.
We repeat the same with carrots.
And an apple.
In a separate, convenient bowl, combine the ingredients: beets, carrots, apples and dates.
Stir thoroughly so that the salad becomes homogeneous, and transfer to a salad bowl for serving.
Making a salad dressing: combine sour cream with honey and cinnamon. Mix thoroughly.
We roast the hazelnuts in a hot frying pan for several minutes, get rid of the husk by rubbing the nut between the palms. Grind with a knife.
Pour the prepared salad with dressing, sprinkle with hazelnuts on top and serve!
