Salad with chicken, prunes and walnuts is a real culinary masterpiece of taste, especially for gourmets. The dish turns out to be velvety in taste thanks to the added prunes - tender and juicy, as well as easily digestible, but do not confuse it with a low-calorie one, as walnut kernels are very nutritious.
Boil the chicken fillet in salted water for 25-30 minutes in advance and cool, since it is customary to add only chilled ingredients to the salad. We buy prunes without pits, put them in a bowl and fill them with plain water for 5 minutes, then rinse them from dust, especially if you purchased them on the market, not in a store! Peel the walnuts from the shell, dry the kernels a little in the oven or in a pan and cool it too.
So, let's prepare the necessary ingredients and start cooking!
Cut the boiled chicken fillet or chicken breast into small cubes.
Place the culinary ring on a plate and place the chicken fillet in it. Remember that the product must be refrigerated!
Grind the walnut kernels into crumbs and pour into a bowl, add 0.5 tsp. mayonnaise and mix gently.
Season with salt and pepper a layer of chicken meat, put a net of the remaining 0.5 tsp on it. mayonnaise of any fat content, and add a layer of nuts with mayonnaise to the ring, pressing lightly with a spoon. Remember that the layer of chicken with nuts is important in such a salad, so do not confuse the layers - lay out as in the recipe.
Cut the washed pitted prunes into small cubes, put in a ring and press with a spoon in the same way. Remove the cooking ring gently.
Decorate the salad with half a walnut kernel, fresh herbs and mayonnaise - you can do without the latter if you don't like such a product. By the way, if you decide to replace mayonnaise with sour cream, then remember that dishes seasoned with such a dairy product have a shelf life of 4-6 hours less than dishes seasoned with mayonnaise.
Serve the salad with chicken, prunes and walnuts to the table immediately after creating it.
Enjoy it!
