For every New Year's holiday, I definitely prepare a salad as a symbol of the coming year. It is both fun and exciting, and it is also very nice to see your family smiling and happy. The upcoming 2016 is the Year of the Fire Monkey, and several different salads depicting a monkey, as well as many other dishes, have already appeared on the site. I want to join this monkey company and offer the Chimpanzee salad.

The products for the salad were selected as it was cooked, the amount is all approximate, since you need to look at the size of the plate and how tightly you want to lay out the layers. Personally, I try not to press the layers so that the salad looks more airy and voluminous.

I cooked beef, potatoes and carrots in advance. Put the potatoes in the first layer on a plate, giving it the shape of a monkey's head. Apply mayonnaise. In the photo you can see drops of mayonnaise, then I slightly smeared them with a fork so that the mayonnaise was evenly distributed.

Dice the beef and place on top of the potatoes, brush with mayonnaise.

Put a fresh cucumber cut into cubes in the next layer, salt it a little, grease with mayonnaise.

Grate the boiled carrots and place them on top of the cucumbers. Then grate the peeled apple, put it on top of the carrots and grease this layer well with mayonnaise.

Grind the olives and make a face border out of them.

Make eyes, nostrils from olives, bell pepper is useful for the mouth. Nose and ears - grated egg white and some of the circles from the protein.

Touch up all the elements, decorate the plate and serve the Chimpanzee salad to the table.
