Since canned corn appeared on the shelves of our stores, our hostesses are happy to include it in the recipes of all kinds of salads with mayonnaise. Corn is often added to meat salads with chicken fillets, there are many different recipes for corn with crab sticks. Only on our site you can get acquainted with many of these recipes. Some of them suggested by my colleagues: crab salad with corn, meat salad with rice and corn, and many others. I will also offer my own version of a festive corn salad.
Such dishes are prepared from products that are available all year round, which is why such salads are often called winter salads. In the summer, we usually prefer fresh vegetables and fruits, but the rest of the time we enjoy canned or boiled ones.
Today I am suggesting a salad with canned corn and crab sticks. Boil the eggs, boil and peel the carrots and potatoes in advance.
All ingredients for the salad must be chopped. Slicing is an indispensable step in cooking. Let's start with potatoes. I like to cut all the ingredients into small pieces. An exception may be the main product (in this case, crab sticks), it can be cut larger.
Chopping carrots is a pleasure. The pieces bounce off one another, unlike potatoes, where the pieces tend to stick together.
Cut the testicles into small pieces. Let's leave one for registration.
Crab sticks are good because it is a ready-made product, it does not need to be boiled, it is enough to simply cut it.
I put all the chopped ingredients in a spacious bowl in separate slides and do not mix until. So I see how much of what I have and, if necessary, add what seems to me a little. Finely chop the onions and add them to the general heap.
Let's add some canned corn. Now all the ingredients are prepared, it remains to add salt, pepper, mayonnaise and mix.
I will serve in portions. For this I will use curly molds in the form of a flower.
Tamp the corn salad well, then carefully remove the mold. I will put mayonnaise on top.
From the testicle, which I left for decoration, I will remove a thin strip (from the squirrel). I will twist it in the form of a flower. Put some yolk inside. The simple decoration is ready. If you plan to serve the whole salad in portions and arrange it in this way, then you will need more eggs.
