The capercaillie's nest salad with quail eggs is not only called poetically, but also looks quite original. The taste is also pleasing, and all the listed advantages make the Capercaillie's Nest salad a worthy contender for the festive table, and not just for the usual everyday one.
Such a salad is prepared very quickly and simply: fry potatoes with one hand, cut cucumbers with the other, and the chicken and eggs will somehow cook themselves!
Prepare all the ingredients you need. There are not so many of them, but it will be easier for you to navigate. Otherwise, forget to salt the chicken - and all your efforts are in vain! Joke. You can then add salt, suddenly what.
After removing the peel from the potatoes with a thin layer, arm yourself with a special Korean-style carrot grater. If there is no such grater, arm yourself anyway, but with an ordinary knife - cut the vegetable into small strips. Well, if there is a grater, rub the potatoes on it.
Cut pickled or sour cucumbers (at your discretion) into strips. Excess liquid in the salad is useless, so the brine released during the process of slicing cucumbers, feel free to pour it into the sink or somewhere else.
Chicken and quail eggs should be boiled in salted water, but preferably in separate pans. Boil eggs for two minutes after boiling water, chicken - a little longer, so 20-25 minutes. You can also add various spices and spices to the water to make the meat tastier. When done, remove from broth, cool and cut into strips. The broth, unlike the brine, does not need to be poured, but you can cook a delicious soup or side dish. Fry grated potatoes in refined oil until golden brown. To get rid of excess fat, put the potatoes from the pan first on a napkin and then in a salad bowl.
In a salad bowl, combine all the prepared ingredients: chicken, potatoes (half), cucumbers. Season with mayonnaise and stir.
Smooth out the salad and place the remaining potatoes on top. Wash fresh herbs, dry and chop finely, sprinkle on top of the potatoes. Shell the quail eggs and place them in the center of the salad. Grouse's nest salad with quail eggs is ready!
Can be served immediately. Enjoy your meal!
