If you love salads with fish, then this recipe will definitely suit your taste. I cook it for almost every festive table, and not only - sometimes for lunch on an ordinary day. I do not always do it with herring, more often I buy smoked perch so as not to mess with the bones, but I like herring more - it has its own unique taste and it gives an appetizing aroma.
In this recipe, I use green onions, but if they are not there, onions will do, only it needs to be blanched so that it does not taste too bitter and does not spoil the taste of the salad. And if you don't like onions at all, then you shouldn't add them.
So, let's prepare all the necessary products for making a salad with smoked herring.
First, clean the fish from the skin, entrails, separate the meat from the bones.
Advice! Use tweezers to remove the bones, this is very convenient.
Boil the rice according to the instructions on the package, cool.
Advice! For fish salad, it is better to take round grain rice.
Divide the herring fillet into small pieces and send to the salad bowl.
Wash the cucumber and chop finely. If the skin is tough, it is advisable to cut it off.
Add chopped boiled eggs and grated cheese.
Add chopped onion, season with mayonnaise.
