As a child, we always got kernels from apricot kernels - it was a joy to us. Fried apricot pits with salt (or rather, their kernels) are very tasty and are in no way inferior to almonds, hazelnuts, etc.
The main thing is not to use perches for cooking - this is a variety of small apricots, often wild ones. Their bones are very bitter and can cause poisoning! One more thing - you can't eat a lot of fried apricot kernels - no more than 25 pieces. in a day!
For better breakage, prick fresh, wet bones - then the kernels will remain intact. If the seeds are already dry, then the kernels in them, respectively, have become more brittle, which means that when broken, they are likely to disintegrate into several parts.

Use a hammer to break the apricot kernels, remove the kernels and remove the debris.
