Aromatic homemade pork liver pate can be a tasty and healthy addition to breakfast, as well as replace a snack.

Undoubtedly, liver pate is very tasty and healthy. Especially if they are prepared at home, from famous products. I cook them not so often, but for a long time and with different ingredients: onions, garlic, spices, butter and ghee, and even lard. Today I present a "lightweight" version without additional animal fats.

The picture shows everything you need for cooking. The liver must first be soaked in cold water for 2 hours, cut out large veins, cut randomly into pieces.

Pour oil into the pan, fry a little garlic clove, then add the liver. Sprinkle with spices, brown on all sides. Black or allspice ground pepper is quite appropriate here, but I did not add it, because the children will eat the dish.

Sprinkle with semolina, continue frying, stirring. Groats are used as a thickener. It gives elasticity and tenderness to the pate and does not affect the taste at all.

Now you need to pour hot water over the liver, mix everything well. Wait until it boils, remove the foam, boil for 10-15 minutes. Water is needed only to cover the pieces (it turned out a bit too much in the picture).

The finished product looks like a medium-thick goulash. It needs to be cooled.

Grind dill and garlic in a food processor or chopper.

Then add the cooled liver and salt to taste. Grind.

It turns out that such a mass. It needs to be refrigerated for compaction, cooling and maturation, for at least 2 hours, but better overnight.

Serve on bread or loaves.

Remember only that homemade pates do not store for a long time, you need to eat the spread in 2 days. Enjoy your meal!

If you want a more traditional taste, you need to reduce the amount of vegetable oil and add 50 g of butter when grinding.
