It is very convenient to create a peanut and salt snack at home by purchasing raw peanuts in advance and storing them in a closed container in a dry place. This is especially true when unexpected guests suddenly come with beer, and they forget to buy a snack. At this moment, you can create it in 30 minutes, and if they warn, then even in 10 minutes, having soaked the nuts in water in advance to remove the husks from them.
Raw peanuts are sold in any supermarket, but it is not recommended to store them for a long time - the nuts begin to taste bitter over time, so be sure to check the packaging date of the goods. Add salt to taste, preferably in several passes, to make the appetizer salty.
So, prepare the necessary ingredients for cooking peanuts with salt in a non-husk pan and let's start cooking!
Pour the peanuts into a deep container, cover with cold water and leave for 15-20 minutes. During this time, the water will be absorbed into the husk, it will become soft. After the indicated time, drain the water and rub the nuts between your palms, peeling them.
Blot the peeled peanuts with a paper towel and add them to the pan. Add 0.25 tsp. salt and stir. Place the container on the stove with medium heat.
Fry the peanuts with salt in a skillet for about 4-5 minutes, until golden brown. If the nuts begin to brown too quickly, and the taste is still raw inside, then reduce the heat to the minimum, remembering to stir them.
When the peanuts are ready, add the remaining salt and stir, be sure to let the peanuts cool in the skillet. As it cools, the nuts will be salted, drawing the salt in, and will become crispy and brittle.
