Tsatziki or Dzadzyki sauce - under this name it is prepared in Greece, where it is customary to consume a lot of fresh vegetables and fermented milk products. There are many of its analogues under different names in other cuisines of the world. Tzatziki perfectly complements fish, vegetable and meat dishes. It is very tasty to simply spread it on bread or serve it with fresh pita bread. Proportions - according to your preferences.
Ingredients for the sauce:
Combine sour cream with yogurt, salt and squeeze garlic. For the garlic lover, more can be added.
Finely chop mint, cilantro, dill. You can choose your favorite greens - oregano, basil, and dry mint are also great for the sauce.
Peel and finely grate fresh cucumber. Be sure to squeeze so that the cucumber juice does not dilute the consistency of the sauce. Season with pepper, add olive oil and mix well. Chill the sauce before serving.
Serve with savory croutons, fresh vegetables, or a slice of soft bread.
