Tartar sauce is very easy to make at home. Its difference from the store one is a richer and more piquant taste. This sauce contains raw or boiled yolk, but today I will offer you an option without it. Onions and cucumbers in this sauce are finely chopped, but not chopped in any other way, because it should feel the pieces of vegetables, which is an important distinguishing feature of tartare. As a rule, Tar-Tar is served with fish, seafood, meat and some vegetable dishes.
To make the sauce, we need: vinegar, sugar, salt, mustard, milk, vegetable oil, sour cream, gherkins, garlic and green onions.
First, let's prepare mayonnaise, because the process of making tartare is similar to it. Pour sugar into a narrow blender glass.
Add salt.
Pour in vinegar.
Add prepared mustard.
Pour in milk.
Pour vegetable oil into the same glass.
Whisk everything together with a hand blender for about 20 seconds.
You should get a white fluffy mass. This is mayonnaise. If it does not thicken with you, then add another 2 tsp. vegetable oil and beat again with a blender.
Chop green onions.
Cut the cucumbers into small cubes.
Place 3 tablespoons in a bowl. l. cooked mayonnaise.
Add sour cream, chopped cucumbers, onion and garlic, passed through a press and mix. The tartar sauce is ready.
You can make it without adding sour cream, only from the sauce you have prepared. So cucumbers can be replaced with pickled mushrooms. It's all a matter of taste and your imagination.
