An unusual pesto sauce, where the main characters are kale and sunflower seeds.
Kale cabbage (leaves) - 7 pcs.
Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Water - 2 tablespoons
Lemon - 1/4 pc.
Sunflower seeds - 2 tablespoons
Garlic - 1 clove
Semi-hard cheese - 50 g
Salt to taste

Kale, or browncol (kale), is known for more than just its beneficial properties. It is also popular for its versatility, as kale can be used in many dishes by cooking it or using it fresh - in salads, smoothies or sauces. I also suggest trying the sauce, namely the pesto sauce.
The pesto sauce with kale (kale) looks almost the same as the traditional basil sauce. But it tastes, of course, different from its classic counterpart. Pesto with kale does not have a strong flavor, but the sauce is just as tasty. They can diversify their menu, making it more useful.
Let's prepare the ingredients. Rinse the cabbage leaves and dry them on a paper towel.
The seeds can be fried a little in a dry skillet to enhance their flavor, but this will increase the calorie content of the finished product.
Semi-hard cheese can be any: Russian, tilsiter, cream, etc., it must be cut into small cubes or grated.
Alternatively, you can use lime juice instead of lemon juice.
Remove the hard stem from each cabbage leaf, passing in the center, and chop the greens at random. Coarsely chop the clove of garlic.
Put the prepared kale, seeds, garlic into the blender bowl. Juice the lemon quarter.
And add 1 tbsp. water.
Turn on the blender on high speed to blend everything into a paste. If the ingredients “don't give in”, add another 1 tbsp. water.
Next, add olive oil and beat again. Until we season the pesto with salt, the amount will depend on the flavor (salinity) of the cheese.
We spread the cheese and grind everything again.
Now you can taste the pesto, season with pepper and salt. After that, turn on the blender for a few seconds. The kale pesto sauce is ready.
You can eat it right away, but it is better to let it brew in the refrigerator for half an hour.
The pesto sauce with kale is great as a spread on bread, as a sauce for pasta - in general, wherever we use classic pesto.
