Peas - 150 g

Meat broth - 500 ml

Onions - 1 pc.

Carrots - 1 pc.

Potatoes - 1 pc.

Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

I think every housewife has prepared pea soup for her family more than once. I'm not an exception. I have several recipes for pea soup. Today I invite you to cook with me a classic version of it - mashed pea soup.

Prepare products for making pea puree soup according to the classic recipe according to the list.

It is better to soak peas in water in the evening. Drain water from it in the morning.

Transfer the peas to a saucepan and pour over the broth. You can use meat or vegetable broth.

Put the pan on medium heat and cook for 20 minutes - until the peas are half cooked.

Meanwhile, peel vegetables: carrots, onions and potatoes.

Cut the potatoes into small cubes.

Add the potatoes to the pot with the peas and continue to cook the soup until the potatoes and peas are fully cooked, about 15 minutes.

Grate the carrots on a medium grater. Dice the onion.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry the onion in it for 3-4 minutes, until transparent.

Add carrots to the pan and fry vegetables for another 5-7 minutes.

Add the fried vegetables to the soup. Boil the soup for another 3-4 minutes and remove from heat.

Use a blender to puree the soup.

The classic pea soup is ready.
