When I was little, in our house there were often soups made from stew. I think many of you will say the same. The fastest and simplest dishes were prepared from the stew, which went off with a bang.
I don’t know why, but now we rarely buy stewed meat, perhaps this is due to a large selection of products, incomparable with what was 20 years ago. But the taste of childhood is still the most unforgettable. Therefore, I will tell you about the delicious stew with potatoes soup that was cooked in our family.
Stewed meat soup with potatoes is very satisfying thanks to the beans. Beans must first be boiled in water until tender. I was too lazy and did not boil, but used ready-made canned food. Put the beans and finely chopped onions in a saucepan.
Add green peas (canned) there.
Peel the potatoes, wash well and cut into small cubes. The cubes should not be larger than the beans themselves.
Previously, only bay leaves and black ground pepper were added from spices. I modified the recipe to add turmeric for a pretty amber color, red sweet paprika, hot chili powder, and half a cube of mushroom broth (optional).
Add the stew.
Pour 2 liters of water and put on fire. I didn't add extra oil or fry. This makes the soup less fatty. We put the soup on the fire and cook until the potatoes are cooked, about 10-15 minutes. It is better to salt the soup when it is ready, so you will not oversalt it.
Add fresh herbs to the prepared stewed meat soup with potatoes.
