I cook all kinds of borscht, but today I want to offer a version of the red borscht, loved by my family. In fact, borscht can be considered the pearl of Ukrainian cuisine. Of course, each housewife has her own recipe for real borscht, and it is useless to argue about this. Try to cook this borscht, I really want you to like it.

To prepare red borscht with beans and smoked meats, we need the products listed in the list.

Put the beets in one pan, and the smoked pork and diced potatoes in the other.

Fill them with cold water and set to cook.

Cut the onion into small cubes, carrots into half rings.

We send carrots and onions to be sautéed in vegetable oil.

When the potatoes are ready, knead them with a crush.

Cut the beets into cubes or grate them as you like.

Add flour and sour cream to the beets and mix thoroughly.

The mass should be free of lumps.

Add sauteed onions and carrots, beets with sour cream, beans to the borscht. You can, of course, add vinegar for spice, but I add marinade. At the moment there is a marinade from pickled tomatoes. We use it. Add to taste. Bring to a boil, cook on very low heat under an open lid for about 5 minutes. If the lid is closed, the borscht will lose its color.
