To make a real pickle with sourness, you need to use good barrel cucumbers, in the sense that they should be pickled, not pickled from a jar. And to speed up the cooking, you can take chicken meat, it cooks quickly.
And what is a pickle without pearl barley? Be sure to pre-soak the pearl barley in cold water for 20 minutes, and then boil it separately in a large amount of water to protect the soup from turbidity. I always do this only, and you do as you see fit.
Take the ingredients you need to make a pickle pickle with chicken and pickles.
Rinse the chicken meat well in hot water, pour cold water, bring to a boil and remove the foam. Reduce heat and simmer.
I love well-boiled potatoes, so I add them immediately, along with the chicken. And I must say that he was not at all boiled down with me - the way I love.
Finely chop or grate pickled cucumbers and add to the soup. Cucumbers also take time to soften. Let everything cook together until the meat and potatoes are tender. Try to soak the pearl barley in water beforehand. Then boil it in a large amount of water for 15 minutes. Drain the water and add the barley to the soup. The broth will not be cloudy, and the pearl barley will come to readiness along with other ingredients.
Fry onions and grated carrots in a little vegetable oil. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
When the chicken and potatoes are tender, add the toasted vegetables to the soup. Check for salt and acid, add whatever is missing. Adjust the sourness in the soup with a little sugar. Cook the pickle for another 10 minutes, then turn off the heat. Let it sit on the stove for a few minutes. In total, it takes no more than 1 hour to cook the pickle with chicken.
