I am an ardent admirer of okroshka, and even in the cold season, when everyone is warming themselves with borscht and kharcho, I cut food to prepare my favorite dish. I'm cold, but I eat. Many options and components and refueling have been tried. One of the simplest and most win-win - okroshka with sausage, seasoned with a mixture of water and mayonnaise. Add lemon juice, mustard, citric acid, spices and herbs if desired.
Prepare the necessary products for okroshka in mayonnaise and water - they are all simple and affordable. You may not even need to plan ahead for your favorite meal, as potatoes, cucumbers and eggs are, in principle, almost always in the fridge. And if suddenly there was another piece of sausage, then there should be no doubt.
For okroshka, take your favorite cooked sausage or small sausages. The sausage can be with bacon, with bacon - here at your discretion. Peel off and cut the sausage into small cubes. In general, all okroshka ingredients should be cut equally.
Now it's the turn of fresh cucumbers - wash them, cut off the ends, check for bitterness. If necessary, peel off the peel. Cut the cucumbers into cubes.
Boil chicken eggs in salted water "hard boiled". After cooling in cold water, remove the shell and cut the eggs into cubes.
Cook the potatoes "in their skins", cool in cold water, peel and cut into small cubes. Send to the bowl containing the previously chopped food.
Wash fresh herbs and chop finely. Send it to a bowl, add salt and spices as well. I usually use black pepper, allspice or coriander powder.
Mix everything - it is better to fill okroshka before serving. And if you cook okroshka right away for a large family, then you can immediately fill it up, and then pour it into plates.
Put a few spoons of okroshka in a bowl. Add some mayonnaise of any fat content.
Pour water into a bowl - mineral water without gas or ordinary boiled. Stir. Okroshka with mayonnaise and water is ready.
If you want okroshka to be completely chilled, you can throw an ice cube into the bowl.
