Quail meat is considered dietary, and, accordingly, quail soup is very healthy and easy to eat. But, unfortunately, quail is sometimes not so easy to find, so you can cook chicken soup instead. Such a soup can and should be introduced into the diet of a small child, but then there is no need to fry.
Round rice should be thoroughly rinsed until clear water, and soaked for 20-30 minutes.
Prepare vegetables for frying - peel the onions and cut them into small cubes.
Now three fresh carrots on a coarse grater, combine with chopped onions and fry in a slow cooker. First, you need to pour 1 tbsp into the bottom of the multicooker bowl. a spoonful of refined oil.
Now it's the turn of the potatoes - we peel and cut them into cubes. In general, the size of the slices is not important, you can also cut them into strips (cubes).
Pour the potatoes into the multicooker bowl, on top of the vegetables.
Pour washed rice on top of the potatoes. The main thing is not to overdo it with the amount of rice, otherwise, instead of a tasty, aromatic soup, we will get a thick "porridge".
Quails need to be cut, it's simple - with the help of a culinary hatchet, cut in half along the ridge line. Place the quail halves on top of the potatoes. But if you have meat (and not egg, like mine) quails, then they are probably much larger, and you will have to chop them into 4 parts.
Pour 1.5 liters of water into the multicooker bowl, add salt. Stir, close the lid tightly and select the Soup (Stew) mode for 60 minutes. After the allotted time, we check the potatoes and meat for readiness, if necessary, we extend the cooking time.
Before serving, you can get the quails, cool, separate the meat from the bones, and put on a plate, or serve as it is.
Quail meat is very tender, similar to chicken, but still tastier, as for me.
This soup is ideal for a children's table.
Enjoy your meal!
