Cooking pea soup with smoked meats - hardly anyone can resist it! Today from smoked meats we will take chicken leg and boiled-smoked pork fat, brisket. Pea soups are not only tasty, but also healthy, because it is a storehouse of vegetable protein. One bowl of pea soup satisfies a person's daily protein requirement.
For faster cooking, peas need to be soaked, preferably in the evening. This procedure is also recommended to reduce gassing.
Take the groceries on the list.
Rinse peas soaked in the evening and cover with water, bring to a boil and remove the foam. There will be a lot of it, so do not leave the stove at the time of boiling so that the broth does not run away. Add lard and chicken skins, cook until peas are soft.
Add more greens and some finely chopped onions. When the peas are almost cooked, add the diced potatoes.
Cut the brisket into cubes, the skinless chicken into cubes. Add the chicken to the soup.
Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
Fry lard in a pan, add finely chopped onions and grated carrots. Toast lightly, then simmer until tender.
Season the soup with prepared frying, removing the stems of herbs.
