An excellent recipe for sauerkraut, meat and millet soup. We will cook the skits in a slow cooker, the recipe is very simple to prepare.

Now I often cook cabbage soup that my family loved in a slow cooker.
If you use pickled cabbage, then the cooking time for cabbage is longer than if you use sauerkraut. The meat for the broth can be anything: pork, beef, poultry. I had the front leg of a wild boar in the freezer, and it turned out to be a pretty rich broth.
In order to cook cabbage in a slow cooker, you need to prepare the ingredients according to the list.
First, cook the meat broth on the bone. The cooking time depends on the type of meat and can be from 1 to 2 hours on the "soup" or "stewing" mode. A wild boar drumstick was cooked for 2 hours. After descaling, add black and allspice peas, bay leaves, and for game - also juniper berries.
When the meat is done, remove it from the soup. Strain the broth if desired.
Drain the liquid from the cabbage. If the broth is fat enough, then it is better not to fry the onion beforehand. I did not take the carrots separately, because the cabbage is already with the carrots.
Set the "Soup" or "Stew" setting again for 1 hour and toss in the pickled cabbage. For sauerkraut, half an hour would be enough. Add the tomato sauce immediately. I ended up with adjika, consisting of tomato paste, spices and herbs, and it was perfect for this soup.
Peel the potatoes and chop them coarsely, that is, just cut them in two.
The finished potatoes need to be removed from the cabbage plant in about half an hour.
Crush the potatoes with a crush and return the resulting puree back.
Sort the millet groats, if necessary, and then rinse thoroughly in several waters and add after the mashed potatoes to the cabbage.
Cut the meat off the bone and cut into pieces. Then return it to the soup or add it in portions when serving.
Cabbage in a slow cooker is ready.
It is advisable to let it brew, although you can serve it immediately.
