Many people love pea soup. Every family has its own proven recipe for this dish. It is cooked with meat, mushrooms, meatballs, sausage, smoked meats, etc. My family is no exception, we love this soup. I cook it quite often, experimenting every time.
Today I want to share a recipe for cream cheese pea soup. Previously, I prepared such a soup only with fresh green peas, but the other day I replaced the green peas with dry split peas. The result was a pleasant surprise. The soup turned out to be very tasty, satisfying with a creamy consistency. The processed cheese added a delicate creamy flavor to the dish.

Prepare foods according to the list.
Rinse the peas several times under running water until transparent. Then put in a bowl, cover with clean cold water and leave for 2 hours. After the time has elapsed, drain the water, and rinse the peas again.
Bring the meat broth to a boil and add the prepared peas. Cook over low heat until the peas are soft. The cooking time will depend on the variety (I cooked for 40 minutes).
Meanwhile, peel the potatoes and cut into medium cubes.
Peel the onions and carrots. Cut the onion into small cubes, grate the carrots on a medium grater.
Fry vegetables in a pan with vegetable oil until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
After about 30-40 minutes, check the peas for readiness, if they are soft, you can send potatoes to the pan. Cook over low heat for 10-15 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
When the potatoes are ready, add the sauteed onions and carrots to the pot.
Cut the processed cheese into small cubes or grate and add to the soup after the fried vegetables. Let the soup simmer for another 8-10 minutes, then remove from heat.
Cover the pan with a lid and let it brew for 10-15 minutes.
