This soup can be prepared both at home and outdoors. In another way, it is called field soup or field porridge. The meat here does not require a long cooking; ready-made meat stew is added to the dish. In addition to millet and stew, the main component in the dish is eggs, namely the egg mixture, which is poured into the bubbling soup. The resulting spider web of eggs makes the soup very thick as well as nutritious.
Let's prepare the ingredients for a soup with stewed meat, millet and egg.
Peel off the husk from the onion, rinse, cut into cubes. Place a frying pan on the stove, add the fat from the stew, melt it, then toss the onion shredder.
Fry onions separately for several minutes, then add grated carrots to it. Then fry the vegetables together for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
To the carrot-onion mixture, add the stew together with the gravy.
Fry the stew with vegetables for 5 minutes.
At the same time, put a saucepan on the stove, pour in water, salt the liquid after boiling. Peel potato tubers from the top layer, cut into cubes or strips, place in boiling water. Cook the potatoes for about 20 minutes. But the cooking time may vary depending on the selected potato variety.
Rinse the millet thoroughly by draining the muddy water several times. Add groats to the soup 10 minutes after laying the potatoes. At the same moment, throw the stew together with vegetables into the pan, continue to cook the soup.
Beat the eggs into a separate bowl, chop them with a fork until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
When the potatoes and millet are ready, pour the egg mixture into the soup in a thin stream, while stirring it with a fork.
Add fresh chopped herbs to the soup, taste it to determine the missing amount of salt. Boil the soup, remove from heat, let it brew and cool, then pour into bowls.
Soup with stewed meat, millet and egg is ready to serve.
