Prepare the ingredients for making borscht without potatoes. We use chicken fillet as the meat component.
Rinse the chicken fillet, dip in a saucepan of cold water, bring to a boil, add salt and cook for 15 minutes, reducing power. Divide the finished fillet into smaller pieces and return back to the broth.
Chop the cabbage into long strips.
Dip the cabbage in the broth and cook for 7-10 minutes to soften.
While the cabbage is boiling, prepare the borscht roast. Grate the peeled beets on a coarse grater.
Peel the carrots and onions. Dice the onion and grate the carrots.
Heat some oil in a frying pan, put all the vegetables there.
Fry vegetables over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the tomato juice and simmer for another 5 minutes over low heat. The frying is ready.
Add frying to borscht, cook the dish for another 2-3 minutes, taste it, pepper if desired. Due to cabbage and vegetable frying, borscht turns out to be quite thick.
Add finely chopped dill and you're done. If you have time, let the borscht without potatoes brew for 5-7 minutes, half covering the pan with a lid.
Enjoy your meal!
