Prepare the necessary products for the lard and beef kulesh.
Boil the beef first. Rinse the meat, put in a saucepan with water, put on fire. After boiling, salt the liquid, remove the foam from the surface. Simmer the beef for the next 40 minutes with the water simmering slowly.
In the meantime, prepare the other components of the cooler. Rinse the millet, pour boiling water for 5 minutes. Hot water will remove the top layer that can make millet taste bitter.
Peel off the top layer from the potato tubers, cut the potatoes into medium-sized cubes.
Cut the bacon into small pieces, put in a dry frying pan, fry for 2 minutes.
Peel the onions and carrots, chop the onion into cubes, carrots into small slices. Put the vegetables in a frying pan to the bacon, fry for a few more minutes until soft.
When the beef is cooked through, remove it from the broth, cut it, throw it back. At the same time, place potatoes, sautéed vegetables with lard in the broth.
After about 5 minutes, transfer the millet to the broth.
Cook the kulesh for the next 15 minutes, until the millet and potatoes are fully cooked. Bring the kulesh to the desired taste, add chopped greens.
Let the dish brew for 10 minutes under the lid, then pour it into plates - the kulesh with bacon and beef is ready for a meal.
Enjoy your meal!
