Thai soups are mostly cooked with coconut milk, adding water or broths. Coconut milk can be bought or made by yourself, for example.

I offer an affordable homemade version of Thai soup with ready-made seafood: frozen boiled shrimp, mussels in oil, slightly salted salmon, etc., and its basis will be coconut milk in approximately equal proportions with chicken broth. For chicken broth, I used to put the tips of the wings aside when I cook buffalo chicken wings or any other delicious wings.

Prepare the ingredients for your Thai soup.

Boil the chicken stock with curry and salt to taste in advance, strain it.

Combine coconut milk and chicken broth, add cloves of garlic, ginger, lemon or lime zest, fish or Worcestershire sauce and chili to taste. Cook over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes.

Defrost and peel the shrimps, drain the oil from the mussels, cut the salmon into cubes.

Remove the zest, garlic and ginger from the finished broth, add seafood to it and cook for about three minutes over low heat.

Thai coconut milk soup is ready, add lemon juice and brown sugar to taste.
