Step by step recipe with photos and videos
Canned fish dishes are real helpers for the hostess. In a minimum of time, you can prepare a hearty and delicious lunch or dinner. Today we will make a soup from canned mackerel, with a rich fishy taste, nutritious and very healthy.
Canned food can be taken with or without butter - the calorie content of the finished soup depends on it. But I prefer not to fry vegetables. Canned fish in any case will give the soup sufficient fat content, and you will not have to spend time roasting vegetables.
So, the components are ready, let's get started!
We clean and wash all vegetables. Cut the potatoes into medium-sized pieces.
Cut the carrots in semicircles.
Cut the onion into small cubes.
Put the vegetables in a pot of boiling water. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
At this time, rinse the rice and add it to the soup pot as well. We continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
Open a jar of canned food, take out the mackerel and divide it into smaller pieces.
We shift the fish to vegetables, and also pour in the liquid remaining from canned food. Add oregano, basil to taste, add bay leaf.
Cook for another 5 minutes, then remove from heat and insist under the lid for another 10 minutes.
Canned mackerel soup is ready! Serve with fresh herbs. Enjoy your meal!
Important additions to the recipe
I do not use salt in the soup at all, since canned mackerel is very salty and enough for a dish.
- I advise you to take water depending on the desired consistency of the finished dish. I got about 1.2 liters, and the soup turned out to be of medium density.
