For me, the composition of this soup turned out to be unusual, despite the fact that I cooked soups with sprat and soups with lentils many times. Here these products are used together and it was very interesting to try such a combination. The soup turns out to be very tasty, I boldly recommend it to everyone.
Ingredients
Sprat in tomato - 1 can (240 g)
Red lentils - 3 tablespoons
Potatoes - 3 pcs.
Dry root seasoning - 1 tbsp
Onions - 1 pc.
Carrots - 1 pc.
Salt, pepper - to taste
Water - 1-1.2 l
Dill or parsley - 3 tablespoons

Step by step recipe with photo
To prepare potato soup with sprat and lentils, prepare the required ingredients from the list.
Wash, peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes.
Peel the onions and carrots and chop finely too.
Boil water in a saucepan, dip potatoes, onions and carrots into it, add seasoning from the roots.
Rinse the lentils and add as soon as the vegetables boil. Cook together 15 minutes until the potatoes are tender. Add sprat from the jar to the soup. Taste the soup with salt, add as much as needed, pepper.
When the sprat boils, add chopped greens, you can take it fresh or from the freezer.
Stir the soup with a spoon, cover and remove from heat.
After 5 minutes, the sprat and lentil soup is ready. Can be poured into plates and served.

Important additions to the recipe
The root spice contains parsley, parsnip and celery roots. If you do not have such a seasoning, then you can do without it.
- If you want a more tomato-like soup, you can add 1 tbsp of tomato paste.
