Carrots - 40 g
Potatoes - 150 g
Salt - 1 tsp
Ground black pepper, ground coriander, asafoetida - one pinch each
Bay leaf - 1 pc.
Ghee butter - 1 tsp

This recipe will help you make a great thick soup without pre-soaking the peas and without adding baking soda. It is enough to pour boiling water over the peas to immediately destroy the thin film, boil for about 1.5-2 hours, and it will boil down perfectly.
Prepare foods for velvet pea soup. Dried peas can be used green or yellow. It doesn't really matter.
Rinse the peas thoroughly. Place in a saucepan. Fill with 1.5 liters of KIPYATKA (!). Add bay leaf and cook for about 2 hours.
The peas will boil down almost to the trash.
Add finely grated peeled potatoes to the soup.
Dissolve the ghee in a skillet, add spices (black pepper, a little ground coriander, asafoetida) and heat them slightly in oil. Add coarse grated carrots. Saute lightly, avoiding heavy browning.
Add carrots to soup, salt it. Boil for 5 minutes and remove from heat. Velvet pea soup is ready.
