Ezo's daughter-in-law soup (Ezo gelin çorbası) belongs to Turkish cuisine and is one of the famous soups.

A very sad legend is associated with this dish: the beautiful Ezo was married without her consent to a man in love with another. The marriage was short-lived and unhappy. Ezo married a distant relative again, but there were difficulties associated with her mother-in-law. Ezo greatly missed her family, especially her mother, and she cooked this soup with her thoughts in mind and dedicating it to her mother.
