Every housewife can quickly cook soup. I also have a variant of this quick soup in my arsenal. It is prepared on the basis of red lentils. It cooks quickly (especially if you cook lentil soup in a slow cooker), tasty and healthy.
Lentils are similar in taste and some properties to peas, but easier to prepare.
For a rich taste, fry the onions with carrots in butter. For fasting people, replace oil with a vegetable product or make soup without frying vegetables at all.
To make lentil soup in a slow cooker, we need it.
Peel and wash vegetables. Cut onion and potatoes into small cubes, grate carrots.
Put butter in the multicooker bowl. Turn on the "Fry" mode for 8 minutes. Add onions and carrots, fry.
Add chopped potatoes to the fried vegetables. The finer it is cut, the faster it will cook.
Rinse the lentils in running water. Add to the multicooker bowl.
Pour in water and salt. Switch on the "Soup / Steamer" mode for 15 minutes.
After the signal from the multicooker, stir the soup and taste the potatoes for readiness. If you still need to cook, put in the same mode for 5-10 minutes and bring to readiness.
Decorate with herbs. The lentil soup in a slow cooker turned out to be bright and tasty!
