Despite the lack of meat, the soup is rich and satisfying. And this is all thanks to lentils, because they are no less nutritious. And the protein content is not inferior to meat. Be sure to take green lentils, they do not boil over.
Use the following items to make a lean soup with lentils and vegetables.
First, cook the lentils separately for about 15 minutes.
Cut the vegetables into medium-sized pieces.
Place lentils and vegetables in a saucepan and add 1 liter of water. Bring to a boil and simmer over medium heat, covered for 20 minutes.
Grate the tomato and press the garlic through a press.
Cut the celery stalk into thin slices. Add it along with tomato and garlic to a saucepan, season with salt. Cook for another 20 minutes.
