To make the classic pumpkin puree soup, you need the ingredients listed.
Sauté chopped onions over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 7-8 minutes, until golden brown.
Add finely chopped garlic cloves and sauté for 1 minute.
Add pumpkin, peeled and cut into small pieces, and fry the mixture for another 2-3 minutes.
Pour in water or broth, add a few pinches of ground black pepper and 1 tsp. salt.
Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 15-20 minutes, until the pumpkin pieces are tender.
Then turn off the heat and blend the ingredients with an immersion blender until smooth.
