Ingredients
Tomatoes in their own juice - 0.8-1 l
Water / broth - 0.5 l
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper - to taste
Cream - 200 ml
Basil - 1 bunch
Sugar - 1-2 pinches
Italian herbs - 2 tsp
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.

Garlic - 6-7 cloves

Today I want to share with you a simple, quick and unpretentious recipe for tomato soup. Let's prepare a tender, creamy, spicy tomato puree soup with basil, from tomatoes preserved in their own juice.
Aromatic spices, garlic and fresh basil in the composition will give the dish a seductive aroma and taste, cream will make the texture silky smooth, and the use of canned tomatoes will shorten the cooking time and further simplify the whole process. Let's start ?!
Prepare ingredients according to the list.
Add 1-2 pinches of salt to chopped onions and fry, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
When the onions are browned, add the finely chopped garlic and, stirring occasionally, fry for another 1-2 minutes.
Chop the tomatoes preserved in their own juice in a blender until puree. When choosing canned tomatoes for cooking, give preference to those that do not contain vinegar or are contained in a minimum amount.
Combine the resulting tomato puree with fried garlic and onions.
Add water, mix well and bring the mixture to a boil. When the mixture boils, add 1-2 pinches of sugar, a mixture of dried Italian herbs, ground black pepper and salt to taste. Mix everything well again.
Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer the soup over low heat for 15 minutes.
Then pour in the cream and finely chopped basil.
Bring the soup to a boil again, reduce heat to low and simmer the soup over low heat for another 3-5 minutes.
Turn off the heat and blend the soup with a hand blender if desired.
