In fact, borsch, the recipe for which I want to share, is ordinary borsch. The same ingredients, except for cabbage. Today we will cook the first course with Chinese cabbage. It is more tender than white cabbage, which can play into your hands in winter, when white cabbage is tough enough.
The recipe is for a 2-2.5 liter pot.
So, for cooking borscht with Peking cabbage, let's prepare the products according to the list.
Cut the potatoes into cubes, fill with water and cook until half cooked.
In the meantime, let's prepare the dressing. Chop all vegetables finely, fry in oil until soft. Then add the chopped tomato and tomato paste. We will languish for a couple of minutes
When the potatoes are almost ready, add the dressing to the pan. Boil for a couple of minutes.
Then the turn of the Chinese cabbage, which must be cut in advance. We will boil it literally for 1-2 minutes.
Put as much cabbage as you like personally.
Salt and pepper to taste, add allspice, bay leaf and ground coriander. Let's brew.
