We cook (or bake?) Borsch with chicken and sauerkraut in the oven in a thick-walled saucepan. The borscht turns out to be very tasty and rich.
Ingredients
Chicken meat - 300 g
Sauerkraut - 200 g
Beets - 2 pcs.
Potatoes - 1 pc.
Onions - 1 pc.
Carrots - 1/2 pc.
Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
Bay leaf - 1 pc.
Garlic - 2 cloves
Greens to taste
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Vegetable oil - for frying

Take all the ingredients you need to cook borscht in the oven. Boil or bake beets until cooked, there are cooking methods on our website.
Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into small pieces, put in a saucepan.
Rinse the meat, cut into pieces and send to the pan.
Add cabbage.
Peel the boiled beets, grate or cut into small pieces, put in a saucepan.
Fry chopped onions and grated carrots in vegetable oil until soft.
Rinse greens, chop finely and put in a pan, add tomato paste and fry, stirring occasionally, over medium heat for 3 minutes.
Put the vegetable frying in a saucepan, add bay leaf, garlic, pour boiling water over, cover with a lid, put in an oven preheated to 170-180 degrees for 1 hour.
TIP! To keep the borscht bright red, add lemon juice, 1 tablespoon is enough for this amount.
Delicious, fragrant borscht is ready in the oven, it remains to salt and pepper to taste.
Borscht is served hot, with sour cream and fresh herbs.
