Braised cabbage - 300 grams;

Step by step recipe with photo

From such simple products as cabbage and potatoes, all of us known and familiar, you can make wonderful potato "pies" - cartoons. Everything seems to be familiar, mashed potatoes and stewed cabbage, but together, in the form of cartoons, mashed potatoes and cabbage are savoring in a completely new way! The filling may be different, experiment;)

So, prepare white cabbage, sour cream, tomato paste, onions, carrots, vegetable oil, water, salt, ground nutmeg, ground black pepper for the filling. For potato mass: potatoes, flour, raw chicken egg, water, salt, ground pepper. Also prepare croutons and vegetable oil for breading and frying the potato pancakes, respectively.

First, prepare the filling for the cartoons - stewed cabbage. I cooked cabbage according to this recipe, check out or cook stewed cabbage according to your favorite recipe), and for the cartographers I took exactly 300 grams of ready-made stewed cabbage.

Also, while the cabbage is stewing, boil the potatoes in slices in salted water, and when the potatoes are completely cooked, they begin to boil right around the edges, drain the water and dry the potatoes for about five minutes (i.e. do not cover).

Then mash the mashed potatoes, add the egg, flour, ground black pepper.

Stir the potato mass, let it cool so as not to burn your hands. The puree should be warm, i.e. not completely cool.

And now blind the cartoons like pies, where the potato mass will act as the dough, and the stewed cabbage will be the filling:

  1. Make a cake out of the potato mass with wet hands and put some stewed cabbage on it;
  2. Close the filling with potatoes on all sides, mold an oval pie;
  3. Zip the potato hoe in croutons.

Fry the potato pies in vegetable oil on both sides.

Here they are, ruddy, our cartoons with cabbage!
