Broccoli in batter is a great and easy snack to prepare between breakfast and lunch or before dinner. Moreover, it can be served in addition to the main course or even as a side dish. This recipe was found by me on the Internet a long time ago, over time it was slightly modernized and today I am sharing it with you.
Wash broccoli cabbage with cool water and divide into medium-sized inflorescences with a knife.
Pour a saucepan of water, put the cabbage inflorescences in it, add half a teaspoon of salt and put on fire. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook for 3-5 minutes. You can also steam cabbage, for this: put a pot of water on the fire, bring to a boil, put broccoli inflorescences in an iron colander, place on top of the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes.
In the meantime, you can start making egg batter. Break 2 chicken eggs into a deep plate and shake them with a whisk until foam forms.
Add literally 100 ml of water to the egg (carbonated is best, but you can also use ordinary water). Mix. Then, while continuing to stir, start adding flour until the batter is similar in consistency to sour cream.
Throw the boiled cabbage into a colander and drain the water. Then put in a plate and wait until it cools.
Immerse broccoli inflorescences in batter. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, then reduce heat, put cabbage inflorescences one by one on it. Fry the cabbage on both sides until crispy.
You can serve broccoli in batter as lunch or dinner, you can also serve it with sour cream or as a side dish for meat.
